A vineyard and a revival

Our vineyard is made up of 25 identifiable communes within a perimeter of 30 km around Maransin (such as Abzac, Artigues de Lussac, Saint-Cibard, Les Peintures, Saint-Yzan-de-Soudiac, Saint-Savin-de-Blaye, Savignac, Marsas etc.).

Our vineyard of 260 ha is composed of a diversified grape variety with 74% Merlot Noir, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec; but also white grape varieties with an equal share between Sauvignon 50% and Semillon 50% for 6 ha.

The vineyard is planted on three types of soil, mainly gravel and clay on the surface or under the layer of gravel, which allows for a regular supply of water to the vines, and some clay-limestone soils in the centre of this area.

The vineyard covers a geographical area favourable to the harmonious development of our grape varieties.

The clay soils bring freshness and depth to the wines. The gravelly soils allow them to deliver more sensual and warm wines. Wines from sandier soils, such as those from the Isle valley, are clearly more fruity and aromatic.

Our cellar synthesises all these character traits linked to natural and biological factors.

Committed men and women

55 winegrowers put their hearts into producing the best grapes. Our winegrowers represent a human community that has been building for centuries around MARANSIN, a singular collective know-how that optimises the interactions between the physical and biological environment. Our winegrowers reveal all the intrinsic qualities of our terroirs which give our red, white and rosé wines their recognised typicity.

Sustainable development is our daily business

The vineyards of the Côteaux de l’Isle have been established for over 50 years in the heart of a particularly beautiful natural environment, with beautiful wooded areas. Our environment is made up of landscapes that are particularly rich in remarkable flora and fauna.

Our winegrowers have been working their vineyards as a family for several generations. They are HVE3, terra-vitis or BIO certified winegrowers. Our winegrowers also produce other crops and various livestock, which is why the protection of our soils is taken into account every day and allows us to obtain balanced wines to satisfy our customers.

Our winery manages its effluents and waste in a controlled manner and is committed to a CSR approach.

Our dynamics do not exclude traditions

Since 2017, viticulture and vinification have always been at the centre of our concerns. The satisfaction of our customers must be the guarantee of a decent income for our members. Every day, our teams work meticulously, reinventing themselves and drawing inspiration from the work of our elders, so that our different wines reflect the exceptional character of our region with its unique terroirs and microclimates.

The dynamic impetus provided by our directors is supported by the skills of our winegrowers and our cellar managers.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve the viticulture of our region in a technical and economic approach of continuous improvement (tastings, control of maturities, mastery of vinification and improvements in the ageing phases by testing vinification in different types of jars.

This is why our winemakers can present you with wines from their châteaux with characteristics that will seduce you.
